Shipping Information

We make every attempt to ship your order within a few business days; however, this cannot be guaranteed. Once your order has been carefully boxed and is ready for pickup by our Shipper, you will receive an Order Status email with information about how to track it on your computer. Please note that we do not ship on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. Holidays will delay delivery of items.

All orders will be shipped via FedEx, USPS, or a reputable freight company depending on the order size and destination.  We have no control over how long the order spends in transit once it leaves our warehouse, however delivery times are usually specified during the CheckOut process. Please feel free to contact us for any special requirements or additional information you may need.

OTHER SHIPPING QUESTIONS:

1. How will my order be shipped and how much will it cost to ship?

·           U.S. Shipping:

On the CheckOut page, you can select the shipping option that best meets your needs for cost and speed (delivery date).  Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and size of the carton and the shipping destination. Please note that shipping costs are not included on the product prices listed on the website.  Some websites and stores may advertise “free shipping” but actually increase the base price of each item to cover these costs.  Mexican Tile Designs prefers to offer you the lowest price we can for each item we sell and then let YOU decide how you want it shipped:  either quickly (which costs more) or more slowly (which costs less).  We strive to make every aspect of your order clear and transparent.

We make every effort to ship within 2 business days of when an order is placed, unless the item is a RUSH order (faster) or is not in-stock (slower). If you place your order on weekends or holidays, it will be shipped within the next two following business days. Please remember that a holiday will delay the delivery of your purchase.

             Rush Orders:

Place your order by phone if you need same day shipping or require Saturday Delivery.  Of course, it costs more to rush a shipment.  Please call us at 866-320-1628 for urgent needs. Our helpful staff are available weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time to assist you.  Do not choose USPS Priority mail (unless it's a very small sample order that will fit in a flat rate box) because although USPS claims a 1-3 day delivery window, they do not guarantee delivery of Priority mail within any time frame.  In our experience, it typically takes 5-10 days.  Instead, please choose one of the FedEx priority options.

 

·        Large Orders:

Large orders may ship on a pallet via a freight company.  If necessary we will contact you before we prepare your order, with an updated shipping cost and advise you to expect a call from the freight company to confirm delivery of your order. If you request (or your delivery requires) additional services, such as the use of a forklift or inside delivery, these additional charges will be incurred to you.  Mexican Tile Designs reserves the right to charge your account for such charges made above the paid shipping on order.

·          International:

We offer several methods to ship your order internationally. Slower methods are generally less expensive and faster methods cost more.  If you select a slow/low cost method, please expect your package to take from two to six weeks for delivery, sometimes longer due to Customs delays. FedEx Great Rate shipping usually arrives in four to seven business days and is our recommendation for international orders. 
 Postal Services deliveries in other countries can be extremely variable in terms of quality and efficiency. For this reason, if you choose to ship via postal service to addresses outside the United States, you are assuming all risk for the order. UPS shipping or Priority Mail International from the US Postal Service are both reputable, trackable services and much less risky. 

 Item price or shipping charges DO NOT include import duties, taxes and other charges. These charges are your responsibility. Please check with the custom office of the destination country BEFORE ordering to determine what additional costs will be charged. Customs fees are usually collected by the carrier upon delivery but may also be billed to you at a later date. We will not ship items as gifts, only as commercial samples or merchandise. Mexican Tile Designs will never report an artificially low price on our customs paperwork, as to do so is a crime. 

·            Address Accuracy and Address Correction:

Our systems will always ship to the address you provide during CheckOut. We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes, APO's, or FPO's.An incorrectly entered address can be an expensive mistake.  For this reason, please double check that it is accurate! We reserve the right to charge for any additional fees or costs that result from an incorrect, or changed address and any additional time/costs spent searching for and correcting an incorrect address once your shipment leaves our facility. Shipping costs will not be refunded.  If your package is refused or returned for any reason that is not the fault of Mexican Tile Designs and the carrier assesses a charge to return the item to us (a common FedEx practice), these costs will be passed on to you. If you would like us to re-ship your item, any shipping costs will be charged to you. If you do not want it re-shipped, we will treat your package as a return.

 

2.  How do I track my order?

FedEx will issue a tracking order for you that you can track online or by phone to find out when your order will arrive.  Please don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions about your order

 

3.  How can I ship to an address other than my own?

During the CheckOut process you can choose any delivery address which can be different from your billing address.

 

4. What if my order is BACK ORDERED or OUT OF STOCK ?

We make every effort to always have a complete inventory in stock.  However, sometimes due to reasons beyond our control, an item may be temporarily out of stock. If this happens, we will notify you as soon as possible, at which time you may cancel the order or place it on backorder.  If you have any questions about this policy, or have urgent needs, please call us before placing an order. If your backorder is not completed within your time requirements, you may choose to cancel, or continue to wait. We will keep you updated on the status of your order. You may also choose to receive a portion of an order that is available while you wait for the remainder, or you may choose to wait for a single consolidated order. We promise to notifyyou and ship your order as soon as the product(s) arrive(s) at our warehouse.

5. Do you ever offer FREE SHIPPING?

At times we may offer free shipping. Free shipping offers ONLY apply to domestic U.S. shipping addresses and do not include Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, APO and other address outside the lower 48 states.

If you return an item that was shipped with free shipping, free shipping will also apply to the return.
